Indian Sandstone Patio Installation Epping

William and the team at Co-op contractors sorted our front drive earlier this summer. With two small children in the house, I was genuinely worried about the noise and mess, but they were incredibly organised about it all — cordoned it off properly and finished within the timeframe they quoted. The driveway itself looks smart and has held up well through the wet weather we've had since. My only minor niggle is that they could've been a bit clearer upfront about the maintenance it needs; I've since learned tar and chip does require more looking after than I'd anticipated. That said, it's still holding its shape. William was straightforward to deal with, no faffing about, and I'd absolutely use Co-op contractors again for any future patio or fencing work.

We've got three rental properties across Essex, and maintaining them cost-effectively is essential. William and cooperative contractors ltd handled the tar and chip resurfacing on one of our older drives, and it's held up well over eighteen months now. The crew were punctual, kept the site clean, and didnt oversell us on unnecessary work. That matters when youre managing multiple assets. I'd bring them back for the others without hesitation.

William and his team came highly regarded from our neighbours, which is why we chose Co-Operative Contractors for our driveway. The whole job was handled with genuine professionalism — they arrived on schedule, worked methodically, and the finished tarmac looks immaculate. The crew were courteous throughout, kept the mess to a minimum, and cleaned up properly at the end. My only minor gripe is that the initial quote didn't spell out the timeline as clearly as it mite have done, which meant I was caught slightly off-guard on the second day. That said, it didn't cause any real disruption. The driveway itself is excellent — even surface, proper drainage, and it's already weathered a few weeks of rain without issue. I'd certainly use them again for future work and would recommend them to anyone locally looking for reliable paving contractors.

Literally saved my life! Our old driveway was falling apart and William's crew got it sorted so fast. The new tar and chip looks incredible — proper textured, doesnt get slippery, and honestly the whole thing feels so solid underfoot now. Ran, dont walk to book them!

Had an old concrete base that was cracking badly. William spotted a drainage issue underneath that would've caused PROBLEMS down the line. He sorted it proper before laying the new sandstone. Looks brilliant now and wont have the same trouble. Top man. Would have them back.

Had been putting off getting the back garden sorted for years, you know how it is, you keep saying you'll do it and then the seasons change and suddenly it's winter again, so when my wife finally put her foot down I started ringing round various contractors, got some right cowboys quoting me ridiculously high figures, one lad didn't even turn up for the appointment which was typical of the last few years of tradesmen round here, all promises and no follow-through. Anyway, William from Cooperative contractors ltd came out, listened to what we wanted, didn't try to upsell us into something fancy we didn't need, and gave us a fair price that didn't make me wince, then got the job done properly with his team keeping the site tidy throughout, which honestly is rarer than hen's teeth these days. The porcelain tiles look absolutely smart, edges are clean, the whole thing feels solid underfoot, and best of all they've not cracked or shifted in the months since. Would definitely use them again if we need anything else doing, and I've already recommended them to the neighbours.

William and his team laid a new porcelain patio at one of my rental properties earlier this year—turned out brilliant, and the invoicing was spot on with no hidden extras. Since then I've had them back for similar work on another site, and thats when you know a contractor's worth their salt.

William and his team delivered precisely what was agreed — new steps and a porcelain-tiled patio that transformed what had been a rather tired rear garden. In fairness, the pricing was transparent from the outset, and the work itself was completed without fuss or delay. I'd argue that what distinguishes Cooperative Contractors is their attention to the detail between jobs: the site remained orderly throughout, and the finish is immaculate. We'd engage them again without hesitation.

Having had previous poor experiences with contractors who disappear mid-project, I was understandably cautious when Co-Operative Contractors quoted for our driveway replacement. William's team arrived on schedule and worked methodically; what impressed me most wasnt just the finished surface—though the tarmac is genuinely immaculate—but how they handled an unexpected complication. Midway through, they discovered the old drainage channel beneath the existing drive had partially collapsed; rather than proceeding regardless or inflating costs, they explained the situation clearly and implemented a proper solution without fuss. The crew maintained the site impeccably throughout, and the new driveway has proven durable and attractive over the past eighteen months. On balance, this represents exactly the standard of professionalism one should expect but rarely encounters. Thoroughly recommended.

William and his team made the whole process straightforward. Being on my own, I needed someone I could trust, and cooperative contractors ltd didn't rush me or pressure me into anything. The driveway looks smart and has held up well.
